苏宇芳1990年7月从上海师范大学地理系毕业到云南省社会科学院工作;1999-2001年到泰国清迈大学社会学院读书，获文学硕士学位;目前在泰国皇太后大学攻读在职博士学位。现为云南省社会科学院副研究院。主要从事土地权属、水资源和森林资源管理、气候变化适应性和农村发展等方面的科学研究工作。近二十年来，参与和主持国内和国际合作项目十余项，在国际重要英文学术刊物上发表学术论文及入选国际学术会议论文十余篇。
